ALE Year End Reporting

The ALE Year End Report, required by WAC 392-121-182(9)(b,c), will be available soon for reporting on the 2019-20 school year.

In lieu of a webinar, the Alternative Learning Department will be providing a series of short videos with guidance for completing this report.

ALE Rule Change Update

OSPI has filed a new CR 102 to move forward with the ALE rule change process that was impacted in March by COVID-19. A new hearing has been scheduled for June 24, 2020. Please continue to monitor the ALE website and OSPI rulemaking website for additional information.

2020-2021 ALE Apportionment

Alternative Learning Experience courses are funded based on the Nonvocational Running Start rate.

This rate for 2020-21 will be $8,679.65 per AAFTE.

Celebrations

The end of the school year brings celebrations of successes, transitions and graduation!

Some schools may conduct virtual graduations, small distanced gatherings, or will mail celebrations home in an envelope. A few schools in Phase Two are doing parking lot drive-bys or are using the local drive-in movie theatre!
