AMAZE is launching a 6-day #AskableParent Challenge on April 6th to support parent-child communication about sexual health. They will be hosting Facebook Lives, virtual zoom happy hours, and other programming with sexuality and mental health experts focused on helping ensure parents are their go-to for all of their kids questions.
Advocates for Youth has developed online versions for Rights, Respect, Responsibility sexual health curriculum for 8th grade and high school. It will be released by Apr. 10.
May is #TalkingIsPower Month, a national effort to spark meaningful conversations between young people and the adults who care about them. The resources below are intended to support family conversations about sexual health, especially during the weeks of Stay Home, Stay Healthy.
"Connect with Me" cards for families can help support conversations about health at home, including sexual health, that align with several health education standards. Available for free download, with instructions for use, from the Missouri Dept. of Health and Senior Services. Available in English and Spanish.
Teen Speak is offering free access to their online learning course for parents and caregivers during the month of April. The course helps parents learn more about the changes their pre-teens and teens are going through physically, sexually and emotionally, approaches for talking with them about those changes and tips for creating trusting relationships.

A Virtual Professional Development platform has been released by Advocates for Youth that includes classroom simulators and instructional coaches for elementary, middle or high school sexual health instruction. Sessions can be done individually or in small groups.
