Thank you for your patience while we work on clarifying ALE requirements during school closures.
Included in this newsletter you will find information regarding academic delivery guidance and enrollment reporting for ALE schools/programs during school closures.

Enrollment Reporting during School Closures
Alternative Learning Experience program leaders received an email on Friday, March 27 from Anissa Sharratt. This email included the SAFS Bulletin that was sent to school district business leaders on 3/23/2020.
Estimated funding:
In the message this link, Projected Enrollment for Remaining Months of the 2019-20 Standard School Year (.xls download), will allow you to see the apportionment available for ALE for your district based on the prior year trends and the February count.
However, for funding, monthly apportionment during the school closure period will be based on the projected enrollment calculated for ALL programs until schools reopen.
ALE student learning plans, weekly contact, and progress monitoring are good practices for supporting students, but are not required for April apportionment reporting.
If you have more questions related to enrollment reporting, please contact Becky McLean at 360-725-6306 or becky.mclean@k12.wa.us, or Michelle Matakas at michelle.matakas@k12.wa.us.
If you would like a copy of the full email, please email Anissa Sharratt.
