ELP Assessment Updates for June 4, 2018

ELPA21 2018-19 Screener Training Opportunities

The ELPA21 Screener will be updating for the 2018-19 school year. The new screener has a number of improvements that will make for a better testing experience and quicker scoring turnaround for most students. To facilitate a smooth transition, OSPI is providing multiple opportunities for trainers to attend a face-to-face training to learn about key changes, rubrics, and other important information. If you are interested in attending, please register at the link below. This training will last approximately 3 hours and is intended for those who plan to facilitate local trainings to prepare test administrators for screening in August.

Training Schedule:

  • June 7th, 8:00-11:00 a.m. - Vancouver
  • June 8th, 8:00-11:00 a.m .- Edmonds
  • June 8th, 1:00-4:00 p.m. - Kent
  • June 11th, 1:00-4:00 p.m. - Online (register: https://zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_d2SW5TfUT5ellOgHYU8lvw )

  • June 13th, 8:00-11:00 a.m. - Pasco

If your region would like additional online sessions added later this summer or before the start of the school year, please contact Leslie Huff soon to arrange dates.

    ELPA21 Annual Score Reports

The annual ELPA21 testing window ended on March 30. Score reports for students who tested this year were released in ORS on May 22 and are available for districts to use in preparing for next year. Hard copies will arrive in districts in approximately two weeks. Please contact Leslie Huff, ELPA Coordinator at OSPI, if there are concerns about your students' individual score reports.

    ELPA21 Post Administration Survey

OSPI is requesting feedback on your ELPA21 annual assessment experience. We are looking for feedback from anyone involved in the ELPA21 testing process. Please take a few minutes to provide us with information to help inform future decision. The survey will close on June 6. Thank you for your time.
