Media Roundtable on State Test Scores
Next week, the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction will release state and district testing scores from spring 2015. The Ready Washington coalition invites all members of the media to a briefing Aug. 12 to preview the state score release, which includes the Smarter Balanced Assessment results. The briefing, at the Puget Sound Skills Center in Burien, will outline what will be contained in the release and how it will differ from previous years.
The coalition has convened a panel of education experts from the state, districts and schools, including North Hill Elementary of Highline Public Schools. North Hill will share its story and release its final testing scores in grades 3-6. Members of the panel will offer a presentation and answer any questions you may have. Please note, however, that final state and district scores will not be provided during the roundtable. That will happen Aug. 17.
Media members can attend in person or via Webinar/conference call.
Please RSVP to Nathan Olson, communications manager at the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction, at nathan.olson@k12.wa.us.
