Every month we share a list of the most recent state certified businesses including the business name, contact information, business description, etc. This list is best utilized regularly in combination with OMWBE's Directory of Certified Businesses.

Access Equity Update

We had a lively discussion at the last Supplier Diversity Office Hours meeting! The group was small, but we got some great questions. Please join us next time on May 6, 2026 at 2pm!

Q: Should we take training from the B2G site?

A: We recommend using DES' The Learning Center as your primary training resource. The Access Equity Contract Compliance and Access Equity Outreach training modules are tailored to our usage of system and OMWBE requirements. The B2Gnow training is more general and does not fully align with how we use Access Equity, so it’s best used as a supplemental resource if needed.

Q: When we make changes in Access Equity, are all parties automatically notified?

A: Not in all cases. Notification depends on the type of change made in the system. We are currently working with B2G to confirm which actions trigger notifications and who receives them. In the meantime, it’s a good practice to follow up directly if the update is important.

Q: Can we import data from AFRS or ECMS into Access Equity?

A: Not at this time. Data entry into Access Equity is still manual. We are still exploring the import from ECMS, but there is no current functionality or timeline to share. Agencies should continue with current processes for now.
