2024 Legislative Update Week 4

Wednesday, January 31 marked the first committee cutoff for the session. Bills that did not progress to Rules or fiscal committees such as Ways & Means, Appropriations, Finance, Capital Budget or Transportation committees, are likely dead for this session.

Cutoff for bills in the fiscal committees is scheduled for Monday. Should bills in these committees fail to be voted to the Rules committee or over to the other chamber, they too will most likely die.
