One of the latest updates pertains to the permitted hours for landscaping noise. Key highlights are outlined below.

Key Highlights of Medina’s Noise Ordinance:

  • Landscaping Noise Permitted Hours:
    • Weekdays: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
    • Saturdays: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
    • Sundays & Holidays: Not allowed
  • Residential Noise Permitted Hours:
    • Weekdays: 7:00 AM – 10:00 PM
    • Weekends: 9:00 AM – 10:00 PM
  • Construction Noise Permitted Hours:
    • Weekdays: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
    • Saturdays: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
    • Sundays & Holidays: Not allowed

Penalties for Violations:

  • Violating the noise ordinance is classified as a Class 1 civil infraction and may result in a $250 fine.
  • After three violations within a six-month period, further violations may lead to misdemeanor charges.
