The summer schedule for lifeguards is 12:00pm - 6:00pm daily (weather dependent)

July 2, 2020 - August 30, 2020

Medina Beach Park

The City of Medina is pleased to announce that there will be a lifeguard program this summer at Medina Beach Park.  Eight lifeguards have been hired and trained to watch the water and help swimmers stay safe.  We welcome back several of the guards from previous summers and a new face too has joined the team.

Additional considerations when attending Medina Beach Park:

  • Due to social distancing requirements, the floating dock will be closed until King County moves to Washington State’s Safe Start Phase 3
  • Wear a cloth mask which covers your mouth and nose, when outside your home
  • Wash hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If not available, use hand sanitizer.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth with unwashed hands
  • Avoid contact with people who are sick especially if you are 60 or over or have an underlying health condition, like heart disease, diabetes, lung disease or a weakened immune system
  • Stay home while you are sick and remember to social distance at least 6 feet away from others.
  • Cover your mouth/nose with a tissue or sleeve when coughing or sneezing
