The Washington Medical Commission (WMC) officially filed a CR-101 with the Office of the Code Reviser on September 12, 2023. The WMC is considering amending WAC 246-918-076 (physician assistants) and WAC 246-919-397 (physicians) in response to 2SHB 1009 (chapter 165, Laws of 2023), Military Spouse Employment Act. The WSR# is 23-19-029.

RESCHEDULED Rules Workshop 

In response to the filing, the WMC was scheduled to conduct an open public rules workshop on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at 1 pm. That workshop has been rescheduled to Friday, April 19, 2024, beginning at 10 am. To attend this rescheduled workshop virtually, please register by clicking below:

This meeting will be open to the public.

The purpose of the rules workshop will be to:

  • Discuss comments received;
  • Discuss draft language; and
  • Discuss next steps

Interested parties and the general public are invited to participate in the workshop and provide comments on draft rules. If you would like to provide comments in writing prior to the workshop, please do so by 5 pm on Monday, April 18. You may submit your comments by clicking below:
