Spokane County Physician Enters STID for Sexual Misconduct

OLYMPIA, WA – In March 2024, the Washington Medical Commission (WMC) entered a stipulation to informal disposition (Stipulation) with Michael C. Ferries, MD(Lic. #00029850).

The Stipulation is based on allegations that Ferries engaged in sexual misconduct, abuse of a patient, and practice below standard of care in the treatment of one patient.

The Stipulation requires Ferries to complete an ethics course, a boundaries course, write a paper summarizing his learning from these courses, disclose this Stipulation to all appointing patients for the duration of the Stipulation, make personal appearances, and pay cost recovery.

Ferries may petition to terminate the Stipulation after four years.

Legal documents in this case are available online by visiting the DOH Provider Credential Search.
