The Washington Medical Commission (WMC) officially filed a CR-101 with the Office of the Code Reviser on September 12, 2023. The WMC is considering amending WAC 246-918-076 (physician assistants) and WAC 246-919-397 (physicians) in response to 2SHB 1009 (chapter 165, Laws of 2023), Military Spouse Employment Act. The WSR# is 23-19-029.

Rules Workshop RESCHEDULED

In response to the filing, the WMC will conduct an open public rules workshop on Tuesday, January 16, 2024m beginning at 3 pm. To attend virtually, please register for this workshop by clicking below:

This meeting will be open to the public.

The purpose of the rules workshop will be to:

  • Review the rules process;
  • Discuss comments received;
  • Invite committee members and members of the public to present draft rule language; and
  • Discuss next steps

Interested parties and the general public are invited to participate in the workshop and provide comments on draft rules. If you would like to provide comments in writing prior to the workshop, please submit them by clicking below:
