In April of 2019, the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Commission, along with the City, launched the “All Are Welcome” initiative. This initiative, along with the colorful decal, aims to show our incredibly diverse community members that we appreciate each and every one for their unique culture, background, experience, and way of life. That all are welcomed in Lynnwood and all belong.
The initiative initially started with window decals, which are now displayed throughout our city. Now we will be flying an All Are Welcome flag at City Hall, there will be yard signs available, and we will be incorporating this imagery in all of our community events and activities. The goal is to support and unite our community; businesses, schools, places of worship, community gathering places, and city government.
City Administration wants to ensure that Lynnwood – our community and our workplace - is a place where all are welcomed and all belong. There is still much work to be done, and we need everyone working together, towards this goal, to be truly successful. Please join us in our efforts to be more welcoming, more equitable, and create an environment where all belong and all can thrive!
