City Buildings to Close to the Public Effective Tuesday, March 17

In an effort to help slow the spread of the novel coronavirus and promote public health, beginning on Tuesday, March 17, City of Lynnwood buildings will be closed to the public until further notice. Our City Campus and buildings will be open to employees only, and we will continue to serve the community via the phone, email, postal mail or through our online services.


City Hall:


Recreation Center:

The Lynnwood Recreation Center will be closed until at least Tuesday, March 31, 2020.

    • Customer Service Staffing Hours:
      • Monday – Friday, 7:00am – 7:00pm
      • Saturdays, 9:00am – 5:00pm
      • Sundays, Noon – 6:00pm

Senior Center:

The Lynnwood Senior Center will be closed until at least April 30th.

Development & Business Services:

The Development & Business Service office is closed to the public. This closure effects Building, Planning, Public Works, Economic Development, Code Enforcement, and Fire operations.

All inspections of occupied structures are suspended until further notice.


Police Department:

Always dial 9-1-1 for emergencies.

Public Disclosure Request

Fingerprinting (Non-Concealed Pistol License)

  • Services are suspended until further notice

Fingerprinting (New Concealed Pistol License Applicants

  • We are accepting concealed weapons applications.

If you need to speak with the Police Department Front Desk Clerk

  • Call 425-670- 5600 or Push the JAIL button on the wall next to the front door and ask to be transferred to the front desk.

Municipal Court:

Judge Stephen Moore has signed Administrative Order 2020-02, which takes effect Tuesday, March 17th, and it outlines the following:

  • The Court will be closed to the public. Clerks and Probation Officers will be available to assist customers via phone, email, postal mail and through online services.
    • Contact the Court Clerks at 425-670-5100
  • The Courtroom will be open briefly every morning to accommodate in-custody persons.

Meetings:

  • Board and Commission Meetings: All city board and commission meetings have been cancelled until April 30th.
  • City Council Meetings:
    • The March 16th and March 18th Work Sessions have been cancelled.
    • The City is looking into an online meeting option for future meetings.

We understand that these closures may be an inconvenience but we must prioritize the health and safety of our community members and our city employees during these unprecedented times.
