City Moves Forward with Design of Scriber Creek Trail

Scriber Creek

LYNNWOOD, WA (January 28, 2019) - For the past year, the City of Lynnwood has been evaluating opportunities to improve Scriber Creek Trail from Wilcox Park to the Transit Center. The City considered a number of factors including cost, trail use experience, and impacts, as well as public input. The City is now moving forward with design of improvements to the existing trail through Scriber Lake Park, replacement of existing sidewalk with trail along 200th St SW, and improvements to the existing trail through Scriber Creek Park. The City will have additional opportunities for public involvement throughout the remainder of the project's design phase with announcements posted to the project page online.

Background

Envisioned as a shared-use transportation and recreation facility, the trail will provide multi-modal connections between homes, businesses, parks, the Interurban Trail, the transit center, the future light rail station, and future bus-rapid transit routes. The project will improve existing trails in Scriber Lake Park and Scriber Creek Park, and create a new connection between them. For more information, visit our project page.
