Police Investigating Collision Involving Fatality
LYNNWOOD, WA (January 13, 2019) - Police continue to investigate a collision that occurred near the 19700 block of northbound 76th Ave W. The collision occurred at approximately 3:45 PM. Preliminary information is the suspect driver may have been traveling at a high rate of speed and struck a parked, unoccupied vehicle, before striking another vehicle driven by an adult male. The suspect fled the scene of the collision on foot but was captured by Edmonds police officers. The victim driver that was struck was transported to Harborview Medical Center where he has since succumbed to his injuries.
There were no passengers in either vehicle. The suspect is in his 20s and has been arrested for investigation of vehicular homicide. No additional information is being released on the deceased pending notification of next of kin.
Police are continuing to investigate the collision.
