Summary: The incumbent of this position is responsible for the safe care and secure custody of prisoners confined in the Lynnwood City Jail. The employee is also responsible for transporting prisoners to and from court and other jails. The position is located in the Police Department and is under the direct supervision of a Confinement Sergeant. Incumbents are placed on the salary range depending on their experience. Special Incentives: Lateral Custody Officers hired by the Lynnwood Police Department will receive a five thousand dollar ($5,000) incentive. One thousand dollars ($1,000) will be paid upon successful completion of their probationary period. One thousand dollars ($1,000) will be paid upon successful completion of their second year of service. The remaining three thousand dollars ($3,000) will be paid upon successful completion of their third year of service. Lateral custody officers will be credited with vacation accrual consistent with their prior experience up to seven (7) years of service. |

Summary: The City of Lynnwood is currently looking to fill six (6) positions! This is a temporary assignment and is expected to last approximately 10 weeks. Applicants who apply BEFORE 11:59pm April 10th will be considered for first review. Open until filled. This position performs a variety of semi-skilled street and/or storm utility maintenance duties. This position utilizes hand and power tools and operates light vehicles. The position is within the Public Works Department and works under the supervisory direction of the Transportation Supervisor, Foreman or Lead Worker. Job Location and Equipment Utilized Work is performed in an outdoor environment, with exposure to seasonal heat, cold, and extreme weather conditions. Exposure to traffic noises, traffic fumes and other traffic hazards. Equipment utilized includes jack hammers and power tools.
