Summary: This is a professional-level accountant position.  Individuals assigned to this position are responsible for oversight and monitoring of grant programs as well as maintaining the accounting and financial systems relating to capital assets. Department Mission - The Public Works Department will efficiently develop, manage and operate the physical infrastructure that is the foundation of the City's health, safety, and welfare while enhancing the quality of life in our community. What We Do: Engineering Services Streets, Traffic and Transportation Environmental, Surface Water and Storm Water Sewer and Water Utilities Operations Facilities ABOUT THE POSITION Summary - Individuals in this position provide oversight and management of City public works construction projects. Basic responsibility is for construction contract administration and the supervision of project management for Public Works and other City projects, and requires technical, administrative, and supervisory activity involving a variety of field, office, or related types of assignments.  Work of this position requires a high degree of independent judgment and action in implementing projects, resolving technical problems, and dispute resolution within the framework of established policies and guidelines.  Supervision of professional and technical personnel is required. Job Location and Equipment Utilized: Work is performed in both an office and outdoor environment. Outdoor work areas may include, but are not limited to, construction sites, environmentally sensitive areas and in and around public and private property. Equipment utilized includes standard office equipment, measurement devices, surveying tools, including personal computer with associated software and peripherals, safety tools and equipment, and city vehicles.

Summary: The incumbent of this position is responsible for the safe care and secure custody of prisoners confined in the Lynnwood City Jail.  The employee is also responsible for transporting prisoners to and from court and other jails.  The position is located in the Police Department and is under the direct supervision of a Confinement Sergeant. Incumbents are placed on the salary range depending on their experience.  

Special Incentives: Lateral Custody Officers hired by the Lynnwood Police Department will receive a five thousand dollar ($5,000) incentive. One thousand dollars ($1,000) will be paid upon successful completion of their probationary period. One thousand dollars ($1,000) will be paid upon successful completion of their second year of service. The remaining three thousand dollars ($3,000) will be paid upon successful completion of their third year of service. Lateral custody officers will be credited with vacation accrual consistent with their prior experience up to seven (7) years of service.

Summary: Individuals assigned to this position have specialized certifications and demonstrated expertise in leading groups of people on guided trips and tours. They are responsible for the safety and quality of participant experience in diverse locations including, but not limited to recreation trips involving destinations of culture, interest, and learning; and outdoor recreation trips including participation in hikes, snow sports, water sports, biking, and other seasonal physical activities. Trip Leaders typically work 1 -3 days per month. Scheduling is mutually determined with Lynnwood Senior Center Recreation Coordinators. The position is within the Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts Department, and works under the supervisory direction of the Recreation Supervisor--Senior Center.
