Summary:

Individuals assigned to this position maintain the billing of all City water/sewer and storm drainage utility accounts. Responsibilities include preparing dispatches for Meter Reader, managing computerized billing system for all utility billing activities, preparing and distributing bills, adjusting bills as authorized by the Accounting Manager, and handling customer inquiries and complaints. Individuals assigned to this position must also review accounts for misapplied payments, billing errors, address corrections, discount eligibility and lien-related activities. Work is reviewed for accuracy, conformance to established procedures and use of independent judgment.

Minimum Qualifications:

Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field plus one (1) year directly related experience or an equivalent combination of related education and experience.

Summary:

The incumbent of this position is responsible for the safe care and secure custody of prisoners confined in the Lynnwood City Jail. The employee is also responsible for transporting prisoners to and from court and other jails. The position is located in the Police Department and is under the direct supervision of a Detention Sergeant.   How To Apply: To be considered for the position, please complete and submit the following:

Minimum Qualifications:

Must be at least 21 years old with knowledge and skills sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job. Experience with computers and related software including Word and Excel, with experience with computer photography systems preferred. Must be able to successfully complete firearms and defensive tactics training during probationary period.   Must possess a valid WA State Driver's License with a good driving record.  Must successfully pass a medical examination, polygraph, psychological assessment and criminal background check. Must successfully complete the Washington State Criminal Justice Training Commission course for Custody Officers. Bilingual speaking Spanish/English or Russian/English preferred.   The Lynnwood City Jail will conduct periodic physical ability tests (PAT). This is a three-event test:

1.     Pushups (Timed 1 min) - To evaluate muscular strength and endurance of the upper body, and

2.     Sit-ups (Timed 1 min) - To evaluate muscular strength, endurance, and flexibility of the abdominal muscles

3.     1.5 Mile Run (Timed based on pushup and sit-up results) - To evaluate aerobic capacity and cardio respiratory endurance

Each event is scored according to the scoring matrix that follows a more-detailed description of each event below.

Physical Ability Test (PAT) Example: This is what one needs to get on their run in order to pass the PAT. For example, applicant does 21 pushups and 17 sit-ups, therefore in order to pass the PAT, the applicant will need to run a 17 min: 39 second run or faster.

  The three event scores are totaled to reach the final score. A minimum of 120 points is required to pass. A "goal score" is set for each event. The goal score is midway through the expected performance range for that event. Meeting the goal scores for each event totals 120 points. Summary: This position implements, and teaches group fitness classes at the Lynnwood Recreation Center. The position is within the Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts Department, and works under the direction of the Recreation Supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications: Minimum age of 18 years, current certification as a MOSSA fitness instructor or Zumba training or ability to obtain within three months, valid First Aid card and valid CPR card are required qualifications. Summary:

This is a temporary position and is expected to last approximately 10 weeks.  

This position performs a variety of semi-skilled street and utilities maintenance duties. This position uses hand and power tools and safely operates light vehicles.  The position is within the Public Works Department and works under the supervisory direction of the Utility Maintenance Supervisor, Utility Foreman or Utility Lead Worker.

Minimum Qualifications:

Must be at least 18 years old, have knowledge of operation and maintenance of hand tools and have knowledge of construction techniques. Must possess a valid Washington State Drivers License and a driving record acceptable to the City's insurance carrier. Prior experience in construction or landscaping is preferred. Must have or be able to obtain flagging and traffic control certifications within 30 days of employment.

Summary: The incumbent of this position is responsible for the safe care and secure custody of prisoners confined in the Lynnwood City Jail.  The employee is also responsible for transporting prisoners to and from court and other jails.  The position is located in the Police Department and is under the direct supervision of a Confinement Sergeant. Incumbents are placed on the salary range depending on their experience.  

Special Incentives: Lateral Custody Officers hired by the Lynnwood Police Department will receive a five thousand dollar ($5,000) incentive. One thousand dollars ($1,000) will be paid upon successful completion of their probationary period. One thousand dollars ($1,000) will be paid upon successful completion of their second year of service. The remaining three thousand dollars ($3,000) will be paid upon successful completion of their third year of service. Lateral custody officers will be credited with vacation accrual consistent with their prior experience up to seven (7) years of service.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must have been employed as a full time paid custody officer with a municipal, county or state law enforcement agency or correctional institution for at least 12 months, continually, within the last 36 months.
  • Must have satisfactorily completed the Criminal Justice Training Commission Academy for Custody Officers.
