2026 Expedited Legislative Implementation: Proposed rules filed – Public comment period now open
On April 22, 2026, during its regularly scheduled meeting the Liquor and Cannabis Board (LCB) approved the following action impacting some alcohol and cannabis rules to take effect on July 1, 2026:
The Board approved expedited rulemaking (CR-105) to amend and repeal existing rules in Title 314 WAC to align with statutory changes made in HB 1526, ESHB 2476, and EHB 2681, and other statutory updates. The rule changes being proposed are specifically detailed in statute. The LCB has no discretion regarding implementation. The Public Comment Period is open until June 20, 2026.
