LCB Board Action: Withdrawal of CR 101 (Pre-proposal Statement of Inquiry) on Cloud Storage
Today, during its regularly scheduled meeting, the Washington State Liquor and Cannabis Board took the following action:
Approved withdrawal of CR 101 (Pre-proposal Statement of Inquiry) on Cloud Storage
The Board voted to withdraw the CR 101 on cloud storage. The cloud storage project began in January 2023 after the Board accepted a petition requesting rulemaking on WAC 314-55-083 and WAC 314-55-087 to allow cloud storage for records required to be kept on site. The rulemaking project examined whether all licensees should be permitted to use cloud storage for keeping records currently required to be kept on site. To clarify this topic the agency will be issuing informal guidance instead of initiating formal rulemaking.
