LCB Board Action: Cannabis Plant Canopy and Cannabis Advertising – Rule Projects

On August 31, during their regularly scheduled meeting, the Washington State Liquor and Cannabis Board took the following two cannabis-related actions:

New rulemaking initiated - Cannabis advertising, etc.

The Board approved a Preproposal Statement of Inquiry (CR 101) to consider creating new, amending, or repealing existing rule sections as necessary to update advertising requirements for licensed cannabis businesses. Revisions may also include clarifying and technical updates to existing rules. The public comment period on this topic is now open:

New rulemaking initiated - Cannabis Plant Canopy

The Board approved a Preproposal Statement of Inquiry (CR 101) regarding WAC 314-55-075. The LCB is considering amending WAC 314-55-075 regarding cannabis plant canopy. This rulemaking may be needed to update and modernize rule language regarding plant canopy as is defined in WAC 314-55-010(31).
