LCB Board Action: Proposed rules filed for cannabis pesticide testing action levels

On March 30, during a regularly scheduled meeting, the Liquor and Cannabis Board took the following action:

Proposed rules filed - public comment period now open:

Approved a rule proposal (CR 102) regarding pesticide testing action levels for cannabis. The proposed rules would update technical chemical isomer information in WAC 314-55-108 for several of the pesticides currently allowed for use in the production of cannabis. Other changes to this rule would update rule language to ensure consistency with recently adopted cannabis quality control testing rules, including removal of language concerning the remediation of cannabis products that have failed quality control testing. Finally, the proposed rule amendments would remove redundant language from the rule, and would replace the term “quality assurance testing” with “quality control testing.”
