LCB Board Action: Alcohol interim policies withdrawn
On October 13, during a regularly scheduled meeting, the Washington State Liquor and Cannabis Board took the following action:
Alcohol Board Interim Policies Rescinded (Withdrawn):
Rescinded Board Interim Policy 01-06 about alcohol consumption in darkened seating portions of sports entertainment facilities. This policy authorized consumption of alcohol in the darkened seating portions of licensed sports entertainment facilities during entertainment activities subject to specific conditions. Rules to implement this BIP went into effect July 1, 2017 and this BIP is no longer necessary.
Rescinded Board Interim Policy 01-2011 about wine dispensing machines. This policy authorized wine dispensing machines for wine tastings on a winery premise with appropriate supervision. Rules to implement this BIP went into effect June 2, 2018 and this BIP is no longer necessary.
Rescinded Board Interim Policy 07-2011 about self-service beer taps. This policy established guidelines and requirements for self-service beer taps at licensed liquor premises. Rules to implement this BIP went into effect June 2, 2018 and this BIP is no longer necessary.
Rescinded Board Interim Policy 08-2011 about the definition of “wine of its own production” as referenced in RCW 66.24.170 for a specific circumstance. The BIP provided that as long as certain conditions were satisfied, a winery holding a valid license in both Washington and Oregon could market and distribute wine produced in Oregon using their license in Washington as the premise for transactions. Rules to implement this BIP went into effect January 20, 2018 and this BIP is no longer necessary.
