Licensees, Labs, and Integrators,

The Liquor and Cannabis Board (LCB) and Leaf Data Systems have collaboratively tested and validated a script that addresses lab attestations. This script has been deployed to version 1.37.5 as of approximately 10:00 p.m. Pacific Daylight Time.

Background

In the software’s previous version, 1.35.6, licensees could attest inventory. With the updated 1.37.5 version, the system has incorporated validation for required data fields based on LCB lab testing rules. A script was built to create system communication to merge existing inventory with new software configurations. Lab results that were previously attested will now move through the system as passed inventory.

Implemented Script Details

Specifically, the Script Does the Following for Impacted Lab Results:

  • Based on the inventory lot type, the script updates the existing lab result by changing “Null” values and “ND” to “Zero” with completed/passed statuses to all required screenings;
  • Changes overall statuses that have attested results to “Passed” and “Completed;”
  • Changes all inventory lots that have "attested = yes" with an associated lab result that is inaccurately showing as failed in 1.37.5 to “Passed” and “Completed.”

The Script Does Not Modify the Following:

  • If a product does not have an attestation, these results are not modified by the script;
  • If a product has an overall status of “Not Started,” affiliated lab results are not modified by the script;
  • If the overall test status is “In-Progress” affiliated lab results are not modified by the script.
