Re:         Release 1.37.5 Pesticide Result Instructions

Problem:

In the LEAF Data Systems release 1.37.5, blank values in lab result fields are not accepted. This is causing some product, which would otherwise pass lab screening, to fail. The pesticide lab screening in LEAF is based off of the pesticide threshold requirements in WAC 314-55-108 and referenced in Department of Health (DOH) rules. The DOH rules that govern required pesticide testing for medically compliant product, WAC 246-70-050, only use a portion of the pesticide data fields in LEAF. As a result many lab records prior to release 1.37.5 do not have values in all the provided pesticide fields and are now failing the lab screening.

Solution For Pesticide Lab Records Tested Prior to 1.37.5 Release:

For all fields that do not have an entered result and are not required by DOH, update that field’s value to 0 (zero). Leave a note in the lab results screen which says: An entered result of “0” for fields not required for testing under WAC 246-70-05 indicates no result.

Solution For Records Tested Post to 1.37.5 Release:

For all fields that do not have an entered result and are not required by DOH, update that field’s value to 0. Leave a note on the Certificate of Analysis (COA) which says: An entered result of “0” for fields not required for testing under WAC 246-70-05 indicates no result.

Compounds Currently Required For Testing by WAC 246-70-05:

Abamectin, Bifenthrin, Chlormequat, Chloride[1], Daminozide ,DDVP (Dichlorvos), Imidacloprid, Myclobutanil, Paclobutrazol, Permethrin, Piperonyl, Butoxide[2], Propiconazole, Pyrethrins+, Spinosad, Spiromesifen, Uniconazole.*
