Updated Process for Label Approval
Recently the Board adopted new packaging and labeling requirements (with a delayed effective date of January 1, 2019). Prior to becoming effective licensees may continue using the current packaging and labeling requirements or the new labeling requirements, however they must use all of the requirements under each scheme. Combining elements of both is not allowed.
In conjunction with the rule changes the label/product approval process is also being updated. Below are links to the Marijuana Infused Edibles applications, use the one that corresponds to the rule set you are using. Moving forward applications will need to be sent sent to labelapproval@lcb.wa.gov instead of
the rules email or Karen McCall’s email, please update your address book.
