Kitsap Transit is offering free transit to federal workers during the government shutdown
Effective January 28, 2019
Beginning Monday, January 28, Kitsap Transit is offering any federal government employee affected by the shutdown free transportation on our services. These services include buses, vanpools, and all Kitsap Transit foot ferries.
Any customer who is employed at an agency affected by the closure only needs to show their government ID to the driver or deckhand, and state they are affected by the shutdown to be allowed a free ride.
Kitsap Transit will honor free services to any affected federal employee until further notice.
