Aquatic vegetation management plan for Long Lake focus of Nov. 2 community meeting
Kitsap County, its consulting team and a steering group of lakefront homeowners have been working on an Integrated Aquatic Vegetation Management Plan (IAVMP) for Long Lake in South Kitsap, using a grant from the Washington State Department of Ecology. The plan proposes future actions for invasive vegetation management in the lake.
A summary of the IAVMP is provided in the related presentation on the project website. Comments on proposed actions are welcome and may be submitted to Eric Baker, Deputy County Administrator in the Kitsap County Commissioners' Office, at ebaker@kitsap.gov.
The IAVMP will also be presented during a virtual public meeting at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 2. Proposals, estimated costs and future opportunities at the lake will be discussed. Everyone is welcome. Click on the Zoom link here to join the meeting.
For more information, contact Eric Bake at ebaker@kitsap.gov.
