The Washington State Department of Transportation, in coordination with the Washington State Office of Equity, is conducting an equity assessment to help identify actions and policy and procedure revisions needed to bridge opportunity gaps, reduce disparities and increase equity in the state’s transportation system.
As part of the assessment, WSDOT is hosting three virtual listening sessions to gather input that will be used to develop a five-year equity plan, remove barriers to accessing services and inform planning and performance measures. Read the full announcement here.
The listening sessions will be held:
- 1-2:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 29
- 8-9:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 30
- 5-6:30 p.m. Thursday, July 1
Advance registration is required at OEOoffice@wsdot.wa.gov or 360-705-7319.
In conjunction with the listening sessions, a Strategic Planning Listening Survey is open through June 25 and provides another opportunity to share feedback and ideas. You need not attend a listening session to complete the survey.
