COVID-19 drive-thru testing sites reducing operations

The Kitsap Emergency Operations Center (EOC) and Kitsap Public Health will this week offer drive-thru COVID-19 testing two days each week. Effective immediately, there will no longer be testing at the Harborside (Bremerton) and City of Poulsbo locations.

As COVID-19 testing options have increased across the county, the demand for testing at drive-thru sites has declined over the last couple weeks. Closing these sites allows the EOC to consolidate resources. If the need for testing increases beyond capacity at the Fairgrounds location (Mondays and Thursdays), additional sites will be considered. To schedule an appointment at this location, visit kcowa.us/covidtesting.

COVID-19 vaccinations from Kitsap Public Health available at six locations this week

Kitsap Public Health is adding additional vaccine clinic locations in an effort to increase access to the COVID-19 vaccine. Appointments are encouraged for the Tuesday Poulsbo clinic and the Thursday Bremerton clinic but no longer required. Booking an appointment in advance helps the vaccine team plan ahead.

The other sites are exclusively "walk-up" during their hours of operation. Find detailed clinic information in the graphic below and at kcowa.us/vaccine.

Washington Listens data report now available

Washington Listens is a free, anonymous service for anyone in the state. It provides support to people who feel sad, anxious, or stressed due to events including COVID-19.

The WA Listens Data Report was recently created to show the service reach of the program across the state. It highlights the demographics of the people served, their reported concerns, referrals and outcomes of service. The purpose of this report is to show what has been done and to ensure the program reaches those who need it most by answering who and why people access the services.

If you or anyone you know is having difficulties managing stress related to the COVID-19 pandemic, call the WA Listens support line at 1-833-681-0211. Hours are from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. TTY and language access services are available by using 7-1-1 or their preferred method. Resources and self-help tips are available on walistens.org.
