Health, safety, communications and trail planning focus of meeting May 5

Central Kitsap community meeting May 5

The May 5 meeting of the Central Kitsap Community Council features updates on the COVID-19 pandemic and information on other local initiatives, planning and preparation. The council meeting takes place remotely via Zoom from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend.

Presentations feature:

  • Update on COVID-19 in Kitsap with Kitsap Public Health Officer Dr. Gib Morrow and Administrator Keith Grellner
  • Overview of the NAACP Unit 1134 vital communications group with the organization's president Tracy Flood
  • Wildfire preparation with Central Kitsap Fire & Rescue Fire Chief John Oliver
  • Trail planning at Schold Farm and the Clear Creek Trail with Angie Silva of the Kitsap County Department of Community Development
