COVID-19 Testing Results Update for Kitsap County as of 2 p.m. Feb. 8

Kitsap Transit ACCESS helps residents get vaccine

“It’s really rewarding to do this job and help get people where they need to go,” David said. “My favorite part of all of this is to hopefully help put an end to this pandemic. It makes me thrilled to be a part of this. It’s been a long year and been stressful for everyone.”

Reminder: New hours at Bremerton COVID-19 testing site

The drive-thru community COVID-19 testing site at the Bremerton Harborside Parking Garage has new hours starting tomorrow, Feb. 9. This site will operate on Tuesdays only from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Drive-thru community COVID-19 testing sites are operated by Kitsap Public Health District and Kitsap County Emergency Operations Center, in partnership with various community organizations. 

Testing is available for anyone who: 

To ensure adequate testing supplies and avoid long wait times, those needing COVID-19 testing must register online or by phone to schedule an appointment.

Individuals without internet access or who need help registering can call the Kitsap Public Health District at (360) 728-2235, Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

 

Inslee signs relief bill for businesses, workers

Gov. Jay Inslee today signed legislation providing relief for businesses and workers impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. SB 5061 will increase minimum unemployment benefits for workers and provide significant tax relief for businesses over the next five years, to support recovery from the economic impacts of COVID shutdowns.

The legislation, which was requested by the governor, is a critical piece of the state’s COVID-19 recovery plan. It passed with strong bipartisan support in both chambers.
