Kitsap Public Health launches COVID-19 vaccine distribution dashboard

Kitsap Public Health today added a dashboard to their COVID-19 vaccine page to track vaccination and distribution of vaccine in our community. The dashboard will be updated weekly at kcowa.us/vaccine.

Vaccination updates will also soon be included in the daily COVID-19 surveillance report at kcowa.us/covid19.

Because vaccine supplies are limited, healthcare providers are advised to prioritize vaccination based on state and federal guidance. Washington state is currently in Phase 1a of COVID-19 vaccination rollout.

Number of WA Notify users tops 1.5 million, exceeds 25% of adults in Washington state

The Washington State Department of Health (DOH) announced that in less than three weeks, more than 1.5 million people activated WA Notify, a simple, anonymous exposure notification tool that uses smartphones to help stop the spread of COVID-19. The number of WA Notify users puts Washington state among the top five states for the use of exposure notification technology, when compared to our state’s adult population.

Thanks to a recent operating system update by Apple, people with an older iPhone who hoped to use WA Notify may now be able to. Once they are updated to the new version of the operating system – 12.5 – WA Notify can now be enabled on iPhone 6, 6 Plus, or 5s.

WA Notify is free and can be enabled in iPhone settings or downloaded as an app from the Google Play Store for Android phones. Users can opt out at any time.
