COVID-19 Testing Results Update for Kitsap County as of 2 p.m. Oct. 16

10/16/20 UPDATE: Kitsap Public Health reported two new COVID-19-associated deaths for Kitsap County. Both community members who died were older adults (65 or older) with underlying health conditions. With the addition of these cases, 19 COVID-19-associated deaths have been reported in the county to date.

Kitsap Public Health has updated the COVID-19 schools information page with data available as of October 15. This page is updated weekly with relevant data, resources, and guidance to support planning efforts and promote safe learning environments.

Statewide COVID-19 vaccine distribution progress update

The Washington State Department of Health (DOH) continues to make progress with COVID-19 vaccine distribution planning efforts. 

DOH staff has been working on an initial guidebook-style plan for the past few weeks and is on track to turn it in to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention by October 16. The plan is anticipated to be posted on the DOH website next week.  

 

North Kitsap Fishline hosting free flu vaccine clinic

Here's another great opportunity to get a flu shot in North Kitsap. This October 19 clinic is open 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for adults who are uninsured or whose insurance does not cover the flu vaccine. Call 360-779-5190 for more details.
