COVID-19 Testing Results Update for Kitsap County as of 2 p.m. Sept. 14
St. Michael Bremerton COVID-19 update:
Kitsap Public Health released a preliminary case characteristics report with additional information about COVID-19 cases associated with the St. Michael Medical Center outbreak. The total number of cases associated with the outbreak to date remains at 73.

New small business grants available
A new round of funding opportunities opens September 21 in Phase 4 of the Kitsap County small business grant program. The Kitsap Economic Development Alliance (KEDA) is launching the new grant program that will provide emergency grants up to $5,000 each for businesses in Kitsap County with 20 employees or fewer. Sole proprietors and home-based businesses are also eligible. Grant money can be used to assist with a variety of expenses related to the impact from COVID-19 and must be allocated by November 15.
The funds are made available through Washington state through the federal Corona Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act and administered through a partnership between KEDA, Kitsap County and the cities of Bremerton and Port Orchard.

Webinar to review small business grant opportunities
The Kitsap Economic Development Alliance will host a webinar at 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 16 to review phase 4 of the CARES small business grant application process and criteria with updates on Bremerton and Port Orchard programs, which will also be reopening. There will be time to answer questions from the public.
