Safe Start report card updated

The Safe Start Report Card was updated today by the Kitsap Public Health District. The report card was introduced last week to track targets for moving to Phase 3.

Kitsap County is not currently meeting targets for four of the five risk assessment areas. The targets reflect recommendations from the Washington State Department of Health. More details are available on KPHD's COVID-19 Risk Assessment Dashboard.

Inslee adjusts limits on Phase 3 gatherings

Today, Gov. Jay Inslee announced adjustments to some Phase 3 guidelines that limit the size of gatherings. The governor also warned further rollbacks may become necessary to slow the current escalating spread of the virus.

The changes announced today don't directly affect Kitsap County, which remains in Phase 2 until at least July 28.
