Kitsap County Public Works is moving forward with a Facility Access Plan to allow limited access to county waste facilities during the coronavirus pandemic.

Monitor the waste facility webpage for current and accurate information. We may make changes to this plan at any time, so please keep yourself and others updatedWe appreciate your continued patience, understanding, and flexibility!

The Recycling and Garbage Facilities in Silverdale and Olalla remain closed because these facilities cannot accept credit/debit cards and do not have customer service windows to protect our staff.

Olympic View Transfer Station and Hansville Recycling and Garbage Facility

We are still restricting some services and payment methods, but are now resuming normal operating hours at Olympic View Transfer Station and the Hansville Recycling and Garbage Facility.

The recycling and hazardous waste areas remain closed at both facilities. We ask that you only bring household garbage and only visit if absolutely necessary. For the sake of your health and our employee's health, many visits can wait.

Business access

Olympic View Transfer Station is now open to both account holders and businesses without accounts. You no longer need to request access.

Curbside waste services

There are no changes to curbside trash, recycling, and compost services. Curbside trash and recycling service is available to all households in Kitsap County. Residents are required to have curbside service within the City of Bremerton, City of Port Orchard, and City of Poulsbo. To start or learn about service, contact the service provider in your area.
