This isn’t your grandmother’s Austen! Bold, surprising, boisterous, and timely, this P&P for a new era explores the absurdities and thrills of finding your perfect (or imperfect) match in life. The outspoken Lizzy Bennet is determined to never marry, despite mounting pressure from society. But can she resist love, especially when that vaguely handsome, mildly amusing, and impossibly aggravating Mr. Darcy keeps popping up at every turn?! Because what turns us into greater fools…than the high-stakes game of love?

Date: January 17, 2026
Time: 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM
Location: ryan james fine arts | 425 Urban Plaza Suite #165, Kirkland, WA 98033
Florilegium is a multi-media installation by James Gill and David Traylor. It is an abstract portrayal and interpretation of gardens and nature. Unlike many traditional florilegia, the installation is neither a published collection of works nor a physical collection of illustrations. It is a weaving together of paintings, large scale photographs and garden “folly” sculptures. Since the late 16 th century, the term “florilegium” has been used to broadly describe anthologies or collections of chosen pieces. Over time it has come to literally mean “flower book” that focused on the beauty, depiction and status of plants. These works often were used to showcase private gardens allowing owners to display both their collections and their “refined” taste.
