2025 Swim Lesson Registration Opens (R) March 26 or (NR) March 27

It’s almost time to make a splash! Registration for swim lessons at the Peter Kirk Pool opens on March 26th at 7AM for Kirkland Residents. Be sure to register early and secure a spot for your swimmer. Non-Resident Registration opens March 27th at 8 AM. For information on the City of Kirkland’s Swim Lesson program, please visit kirklandwa.gov/SwimLessons.

There are several ways to register for lessons:

• Visit the community centers in person starting at 8 AM

Parks Job Fair - April 5 | Ages 16+

2025 Job Fair

Join us at the Parks Job Fair on April 5th! 

Meet our team, enjoy refreshments and giveaways, and submit applications. Open positions include jobs for those ages 15+ and adults ages 18+. We’re actively recruiting park laborers, day camp leaders, youth sports staff, lifeguards, pool cashiers, special events team staff, recreation attendants for facility rentals staff, recreation lead staff, and more. Many positions are seasonal, and several are year-round.

Wheels & Reels (Gran Turismo) - April 12 | All Ages

Grand Tourismo

Get cozied up with your friends and family at our 2025 Winter Wheels & Reels Drive-In Movie Series at Juanita Beach Park! We will be showing Gran Turismo on Saturday, April 12th! Watch the movie on our giant 12-ft LED movie screen!

All ages are welcome! Parents are encouraged to review movie title in advance for suitability for your family. The event will be held rain or shine, with no refunds. Cars and trucks are acceptable, but please do not bring limos, RV’s, buses, or alcohol. There’s also no tailgating allowed.

Please register for this event based on the size of your vehicle to help insure the best possible viewing for all.

Mixed Media Art Spring Break Camp - April 14 | Ages 8-12

Come celebrate all things Spring in this exciting 4-day mixed media art camp! Children 8-12 yrs will make a variety of fascinating and meaningful projects while exploring different mediums of art like acrylics, air dry clay, paper craft and experiment with different materials and surfaces like canvas, wood, cardboard, clay pots, beads and more!

6 pillars of Brain Health

It’s never too late to take charge of your brain health! In this interactive session you will learn about the six pillars of a brain-healthy lifestyle. Discover how living an active life – by learning more, being social, staying fit, eating right, getting enough sleep and managing stress – can support brain health. This session will provide you with actionable steps you can take along with resources to learn more.

Presented by AARP Speaker Kay Tomlinson.

Teen Transportation to KTUB

The City of Kirkland offers free, after school transportation to the Kirkland Teen Union Building (KTUB)! This pilot program connects teens from Finn Hill Middle School (Mondays & Thursdays) and Kamiakin Middle School (Tuesdays) to KTUB so they can participate in various, free activities during the school year. Parents/Guardians must register their teens to "Waiver for Transportation to KTUB" before selecting pickup dates.

Note: Transportation is one-way only and teens must have a safe way to return home when KTUB closes for the day.

2025 Seasonal Boat Launch Cards are now available for purchase online at www.kirklandparks.net (direct link), by phone at 425-587-3330 (Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM), or in person at the Parks and Community Services office at City Hall located at 123 5th Ave in Kirkland.

Proof of Kirkland residency is required for Kirkland Resident Seasonal Boat Launch Card purchase.
