Parking at the Peter Kirk Community Center is limited, please consider parking at the Peter Kirk Municipal Parking Garage under the Kirkland Library or use street parking. Carpooling, walking, biking, or busing to the event is always welcome!

Kirkland Teen Union Building Open House

Location: Kirkland Teen Union Building

The Kirkland Teen Union Building invites all community members to visit during our Open House events! Tour the building, receive information and resources from community partners, learn about on-site services we provide via our partners YES (Youth Eastside Services) and 4 Tomorrow, register your teens for our recreation programs, and get to know the KTUB team.

Child care will be available on-site in the Kiwanis Lounge for parents with children 10 and under to use while they tour the building. Light snacks will be provided.

Wheels and Reels

Wheels and Reels Spring Drive-In Movie

Presented By: City of Kirkland, Parks and Human Services

Time: 6:00 PM-9 PM

Location: Juanita Beach Park

Enjoy a night out under the stars at Juanita Beach Park with our Winter and Spring Drive-in Movie Series.

The parking lot opens at 6:00 PM and the movie starts at 7:00 PM. $20 per vehicle, pre-registration is required.

To register, visit KirklandParks.net or call 425-587-3336. All ages welcome. Event is held rain or shine - no refunds. No RV's, limos, busses, tailgating or alcohol.

Enjoy stories, music, movement and rhymes. Help develop your toddler's early literacy skills.

Registration not required, but space is limited.

Tickets will be available from staff at 10am for the 10:15am program.

Galentine's Day Soiree

Celebrate the spirit of friendship and womanhood at our fourth annual Galentine's Day Soiree!

This special day is dedicated to honoring each other as women and friends. Shop local: Explore a vibrant marketplace featuring over twenty local, women-owned small businesses. Find unique gifts for your Valentines gifts and Super Bowl parties, including jewelry, candles, sweet treats, charcuterie, and more. 

We'll have a complimentary photo booth, community tables, and warm coffee drinks.  Grab your besties and come celebrate with us.

Artist’s Talk: Timea Tihanyi

Ceramic artist and founder-director of Slip Rabbit, an experimental techno-ceramics research space in Seattle, discusses the development and experimental possibilities of ceramic 3D printing from the early days to the present. Through the introduction of various bodies of her work, Tihanyi will give an overview of the ceramic 3D printing process, discuss ideas about materiality and algorithms, and the importance of preserving tactility while utilizing technology.

Everest Park Forest Stewardship Event

Join the Green Kirkland Partnership for a fun day of forest stewardship at Everest Park!

Everest Park natural areas are a hidden gem featuring conifer forests, streams, wetlands, and walking trails tucked into a 23 acre park with many other ammenities.

Volunteers will help restore critical habitat by removing non-native plants such as blackberry or ivy, planting native plants (Oct-March only), and helping with stewardship tasks like mulching and weeding. With your help, this park with have healthy and thriving natural areas for years to come!
