Kirkland Teen Union Building Open House

The Kirkland Teen Union Building invites all community members to visit during our Open House events! Tour the building, receive information and resources from community partners, learn about on-site services we provide via our partners YES (Youth Eastside Services) and 4 Tomorrow, register your teens for our recreation programs, and get to know the KTUB team.
Child care will be available on-site in the Kiwanis Lounge for parents with children 10 and under to use while they tour the building. Light snacks will be provided.

Wheels and Reels Spring Drive-In Movie

The parking lot opens at 6:00 PM and the movie starts at 7:00 PM. $20 per vehicle, pre-registration is required.

Artist’s Talk: Timea Tihanyi

Ceramic artist and founder-director of Slip Rabbit, an experimental techno-ceramics research space in Seattle, discusses the development and experimental possibilities of ceramic 3D printing from the early days to the present. Through the introduction of various bodies of her work, Tihanyi will give an overview of the ceramic 3D printing process, discuss ideas about materiality and algorithms, and the importance of preserving tactility while utilizing technology.

Everest Park Forest Stewardship Event

Everest Park natural areas are a hidden gem featuring conifer forests, streams, wetlands, and walking trails tucked into a 23 acre park with many other ammenities.
Volunteers will help restore critical habitat by removing non-native plants such as blackberry or ivy, planting native plants (Oct-March only), and helping with stewardship tasks like mulching and weeding. With your help, this park with have healthy and thriving natural areas for years to come!
