Google’s Musical Holiday Lights Event returns to the Cross Kirkland Corridor with over 10,000 LED lights synchronized to holiday music, custom-programmed by Google Kirkland engineers.

Lighting ceremony: Only on Friday, Dec. 6 at 5:00 p.m., the festivities kick off with carolers, cookies, a photobooth, and a petting zoo. The switch to Musical Holiday Lights will be flipped at 5:30 p.m. for the first time this holiday season.

While the lighting ceremony is one night only, the illuminations will be available for viewing every evening from Dec. 6-Jan. 7.

This free, family-friendly event is an annual highlight, showcasing the creativity and holiday spirit of the Kirkland community. Starting at 5:15 p.m., Christmas carolers will fill the air with holiday cheer, and at 5:30 p.m., the lights will twinkle to life! Kids can enjoy delicious treats, a fun petting zoo, and capture the moment at the photo booth. It's sure to be a festive and heartwarming night for everyone! The light show will run daily until early January.

Join us in running/walking the 12ks or the 5K run with your friends and family. Form a "team" and enjoy the run with all you friends and family. Too little to run the 5K? The sign up those little elves for a 0.3 mi run around Marina park. Suggest that this is appropriate for kids from 2-10. Some of the older ones might want to try the 5k run. Each little elf will receive a customer cookie as a "medal" for the race. Join us in an after run awards party at Moss Bay Hall - adjacent to the start/finish line.

Juanita Bay Park offers many opportunities to view a variety of wildlife. The 110-acre park is home to songbirds, waterfowl, raptors, shorebirds, amphibians, turtles, beavers, and other small mammals.

Join Eastside Audubon Society volunteers for their monthly interpretive tour of Juanita Bay Park on the first Sunday of each month. Tours start at the kiosk by the  the parking lot and occur rain or shine. Bring binoculars if you have them. Children aged 6 and above, accompanied by an adult, are welcome.
