It’s the special time of year when Kirkland Urban turns into a paradise for pups! In partnership with Kirkland Downtown Association & Greet Kirkland, Kirkland Urban is bringing back Dogust. Bring your doggies for a fun-filled afternoon, including:

● Bobbing for balls sponsored by Mudbay
● Free “Lick Art” creations
● An agility course for dogs to show off their skills
● Puppuccinos by Shake Shack
● Activities for the younger humans, including a photo booth
● ... And more!

Date: September 7th, 2024

Time: 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM

Price: $10 per dog

Bring your dog to splash and play as we celebrate the end of summer at Peter Kirk Pool. There will be vendor booths, a food truck, and lots of soggy doggy fun!

Before or after the splash, pups can enjoy some off-leash time at the Lee Johnson Field a few yards away from the pool. The off-leash portion will be open from 10AM to 3PM.

Pre-registration is highly recommended! Participating dogs must be well behaved, on a leash upon entering the pool, and vaccinated. To register, visit kirklandparks.net. And if you need to license your dog, you can do so here!

    • A sustainability showcase to highlight and celebrate sustainable practices featuring EV transportation, community reuse, eco-themed games and crafts,
    • A stage area with cultural performances and local entertainment hosted by Kirkland’s own the This Week in Kirkland Podcast,
    • Interactive booths with City staff sharing program information from various Departments, including partner CBOs,

Juanita Bay Park Bird Walk Tour

Join Eastside Audubon Society volunteers for their monthly Bird Walk and tour of Juanita Bay Park. Tours start in the parking lot and occur rain or shine. Bring binoculars if you have them. Registration is not required. Visit the eastsideaudubon.org website for more details.

Location: Peter Kirk Room, lower level of Kirkland City Hall (123 5th AVE, Kirkland, WA 98033)

The City of Kirkland is hosting a costume swap, where community members are welcome to trade in used costumes for new-to-you costumes!

We’ll be accepting donations of gently used and clean costumes, masks, hats, and accessories at Kirkland City Hall (123 5th Ave) and North Kirkland Community Center (12421 103rd Ave NE) the week of September 23rd to 27th.

Donated costumes will be organized and available for residents to pick out and take home at the swap event on Saturday, September 28th.
