Nominations are now open!
Submit your nominees for the 2024 Executive's Small Business Awards! Nominations close June 30, 2024.
Nomination Form
The many categories for these awards honor the people who have taken the initiative to create and build businesses that serve our community. The last few years have taken a toll on our economy, especially small businesses.
Out of concern for people's health and well-being, King County suspended the Executive's Small Business Awards during the COVID pandemic. They used this time to refine and improve the program, based on feedback that they've received over the years from past attendees, nominees, and award winners.

Originally developed to support businesses through early COVID impacts, Kirkland Ca$h is one of the more direct ways that the City of Kirkland invests in our local businesses. The program is still active and the City is currently running a campaign putting $15 vouchers, redeemable at participating Kirkland businesses, in the hands of community members that renew their pet licenses.
Your business can be listed as a merchant that accepts the Kirkland Cash vouchers, like these businesses here, if you scroll down the page.
Interested or want to know more? Check out the Kirkland Ca$h page on the Shop Local Kirkland website. Adding your business is simple and we are quick to issue redemptions once they are logged by your business. You’re also welcome to contact Christian Switzer at cswitzer@kirklandwa.gov or 425-587-3266.

The Eastside is choosing reuse! Re+ City Grant recipients Bellevue, Bothell, Kirkland, and Redmond have partnered to reduce waste from single-use cups. This summer, when you remember to show up with your reusable cup at participating coffee shops, not only do you lighten the load on the planet, you also get a free limited edition vinyl sticker from a local artist for that beautiful cup. Beginning in June, share a photo or selfie when you bring your own cup on Facebook or Instagram and tag @eastsidebyoc to win weekly local event tickets or a new e-bike at the end of the summer!
Each week there will be a drawing for tickets to local attractions and events, all the BYOC participants will also be entered into a grand prize drawing for an e-bike given away at the end of the campaign in September. The campaign will be promoted via social media ads, radio ads, streaming audio videos, and more. More information on participating here.
