Our annual Community Appreciation Night is Wednesday, May 15 at 6 p.m. at the Kirkland Performance Center.
Join us for a night full of live performances, food and drink, and Council-presented awards recognizing all the wonderful contributions to the community in 2023. Plus, learn about opportunities for you to get involved.

Spring Recycling Collection Event

Kirkland's recycling collection events allows residents to dispose of recyclable items that are not accepted through recycling collection services or product stewardship programs. All items collected will be reused or recycled.
Please contact us with any questions about the event.
Some items have a cost to drop off, and only cash is accepted as payment, please bring exact change. Vendor reserves the right to refuse any item deemed unacceptable or not recyclable.

7 Hills of Kirkland

The 7 Hills of Kirkland has been a beloved Memorial Day bike ride for over 20 years. The ride supports fundraising to provide housing and services to the Eastside. Join a few hundred of your closest friends and challenge yourself to complete the traditional 38-mile route. Distance too short? Then the Metric Centry 62-mile course will provide the hills your heart desires. Either way, you'll finish back at Marina Park where you can celebrate with delicious strawberry shortcake. Green Kirkland Opportunities
Join Green Kirkland for a fun day of habitat stewardship at multiple locations this month!!
Volunteers will help restore critical habitat by removing invasive plants such as blackberry or ivy, planting native plants, and pitching-in with stewardship tasks like mulching and weeding. At this event we may also be planting native plants. With your help, this park with have healthy and thriving natural areas for years to come!
All experience levels and ages are welcome following the safety and event guidelines (see below). Tools and training are provided. Events are 100% outdoors and occur rain or shine*!
