The City of Kirkland is now hiring our 2024 Summer Aquatics Team for the Peter Kirk Pool and for our three waterfront beaches (Houghton, Waverly, and Juanita Beaches).
Pool and Waterfront Lifeguards First year Lifeguards will only be able to work at the pool, second year and experienced lifeguards are able to work at our three waterfront swimming beaches.
Swim Lesson Instructors Becoming a swim instructor is a great first-time job. You will get on the job paid training and obtain a valuable skill. Help raise water safety awareness in your community and learn how to be a Swim Instructor at the Peter Kirk Pool!

The 2025-26 Human Services Grant Funding application portal is now OPEN!
The City of Kirkland has ongoing funding of approximately $1,700,000 per year to award in 2025 and 2026. If you are a non-profit providing human services to our Kirkland neighbors and are interested in applying for funding, please visit the City of Kirkland Human Services webpage and Share1App, the online portal for the Human Services Funding Collaborative, for more information.

The City of Kirkland’s Parks and Community Services is hosting a Job Fair from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 30th, at the North Kirkland Community Center (12421 103 Ave N.E. in Kirkland).
Job seekers can meet current staff and hiring managers, enjoy refreshments and giveaways, and submit applications. Hiring managers will be conducting on-site interviews for most positions. Bringing a resume is helpful, but it is not required to attend this event. Open positions include jobs for those ages 16+ and adults ages 18+
We’re actively recruiting park laborers, day camp leaders, youth sports staff, lifeguards, pool cashiers, special events team staff, recreation attendants for facility rentals staff, recreation lead staff, and more. Free Play is field time set aside for the community to enjoy passive, drop-in, and informal outdoor play. The program is perfect for personal, casual, and spontaneous use, like a parent tossing a child a ball, friends playing frisbee, or a family enjoying kickball.

Do you have one hour a week you can share with a child? Become a LINKS Lunch Buddy mentor! Mentors come during school hours once a week and spend the lunch hour in a pre-assigned area to eat, play games, make crafts, talk, go to recess, and do other agreed-upon activities.
Help us provide support to elementary students who need a little extra one-on-one attention.
