Market Street Holiday Stroll

Join neighbors and friends as we stroll Market Street and visit our local businesses at our 1st annual Holiday Event. Follow the gold balloons for participating businesses. Each establishment will have holiday-themed festivities and a curated gift basket that will be part of a drawing at the end of the event. Pick up your passport card at participating locations and have it stamped at each business to be entered into our drawing. Locations include: Crown Linen Designs and Arte Italica, Found Interiors, Oscar and Co., Kirkland Arts Center, Book Tree and FrogLegs.

Attend the US Premier of Goldfish at the 17th Tasveer South Asian Film Festival Thursday, November 10 at 6 p.m. at the Kirkland Performance Center! 

Enjoy the festival with your family and friends in a lively and stimulating environment for conversation, education, and exploration of issues that face South Asia and its Diaspora. Through a series of film screenings, panel discussions, workshops, and cultural events, audiences will be engaged not just with the film and video works presented, but be a part of a safe space where important issues that are highlighted in the films can be discussed and understood.

Frostival will feature: Photos opportunities at Snaps with Santa in his magical snow globe, the Gingerbread Suite - a life size walkthrough experience to enjoy as you make your way to Snaps with Santa, festive kids crafts for our tiniest visitors, Holiday Pop Carolers, larger than life holiday installations and dazzling light structures, complimentary Caffe Ladro coffee and cookies while supplies last, fun holiday giveaways while supplies last, snow on the promenade, and an interactive performance live on the promenade. 

Kirkland Winter Market

Meet us under the snowflakes. In conjunction with Kirkland Urban’s exciting Winter Program, our Seasonal Winter Market is back and will feature artisanal crafts and delights that are perfect for holiday gifts and treats. Bring your family and friends and stroll around the wintery decorated plaza while you shop, play and visit.

Wheels & Reels: “Christopher Robins”

Enjoy a night out under the stars at Juanita Beach Park with our Fall Drive-in Movie Series. The parking lot opens at 6:00 PM and the movie starts at 7:00 PM. Watch each movie on our giant LED movie screen! $20 per vehicle, pre-registration is required. To register, visit KirklandParks.net or call 425-587-3336. 

All ages welcome. Snack vendors will be on site. Event is held rain or shine - no refunds. No RV's, limos, busses, tailgating or alcohol.

Hungry, they chase each other into the forest looking for food, but instead, they discover a shifty chef who craves sweet and succulent siblings. Can Hansel and Gretel learn that by working side-by-side they can change their rocky road and sour patches into a trail mix of healthy choices, or will the chef take the cake?

Lake Washington Half Marathon

The Lake Washington Half marathon is a beautiful loop course that starts and finishes and Juanita Beach Park in Kirkland. You’ll run along the shores of Lake Washington and through the charming neighborhoods of Kirkland. Produced by Orca Running, the Lake Washington Half is a great end-of-season half to cap off your year of running.

Nov 8: Wilderness Photography & Night Skies 

Getting away from the lights of civilization makes it possible to capture incredible night sky images. The camera settings are easy! It's getting there that takes work! 

In this workshop Wilderness Photographer Andy Porter will detail his adventures capturing night sky images and share all you need to know to get started. 

Dec 8: Eastside Urban Trails 

Discover your wild backyard. Come take a slideshow trail tour around Bellevue, Redmond, Kirkland, Mercer Island, the Issaquah Alps, and Snoqualmie Valley with award winning guidebook author Craig Romano. Urban Trails: Eastside focuses on the trails, parks, and preserves within and around the urban and suburban areas of Bellevue and Seattle’s greater Eastside. You’ll also find detailed trail information for the Issaquah Alps and the Snoqualmie River Valley in Urban Trails: Eastside.

Green Kirkland MLK Day

Stewardship Events with Green Kirkland Partnership

Join Green Kirkland Partnership and help our parks and natural areas thrive. Volunteers will help restore critical habitat by removing invasive plants such as blackberry or ivy, planting native plants, and pitching-in with stewardship tasks like mulching and weeding.  

All experience levels and ages are welcome following the safety and event. Tools and training are provided. Events are 100% outdoors and occur rain or shine!

Light Up Kirkland is a magical event held at Juanita Beach Park. Partake in some cocoa and cookies as you stroll on the grounds of the park to view a winter wonderland of lights, followed by a bonfire on the beach and music from local students. Argosy Cruises will swing by with their Christmas Ship and and provide more musical entertainment from the water. This event is free. Questions? It is the 12ks of Christmas - time to get out your Santa hats and reindeer antlers! 

Join Snohomish Running Company in downtown Kirkland, WA, for a fun, festive, chip-timed run.  

The 5K run will begin at 9:25 am and the 12K run will begin at 9:00 am.

Join Chabad of Kirkland at this holiday celebration, which marks the beginning of Chanukah, an eight-day wintertime festival of lights. Chabad of Kirkland welcomes the community as it shares the story of Hanukkah with all who attend. The menorah will remain on display through December 26, 2022 at Marina Park.

Popovich Comedy Pet Theater

Popovich Comedy Pet Theater

The World-Famous Popovich Comedy Pet Theater is a family-oriented blend of the unique comedy and circus skills of Gregory Popovich, and the talents of his furry co-stars. There are more than 25 pets in the show, each one has been rescued from animal shelters and given a new lease on life! They love to perform their skills and stunts on stage. Dogs, horses, cats, parrots, doves, mini-Pig Lucy and special guest star mini horse Mr. Diamond.
