4th of July Festivities in Kirkland

The annual Celebrate Kirkland! Parade returns

This year’s theme: Celebrate Kirkland, Together Again.

Bring the whole family to downtown and enjoy a kids decorating event (10:30 a.m.), a kids walking parade (11:30 a.m.), and the main parade (12 p.m.). Event information, including a parade map, is available at kirklanddowntown.org.

Event goers are encouraged to carpool and plan for their parking in advance.  For public parking, including the Kirkland Municipal Garage, go to www.kirklandwa.gov/parking. For bus transportation, go to http://tripplanner.kingcounty.gov.

Red, White & Boom July 4th Boat Cruise from Carillon Point

Celebrate America's Birthday the best way we know how - on the water! Spend Fourth of July on Lake Union and see the amazing fireworks show from our boats. This year's events are 21+, so get ready to say cheers and hit the bar all night long! No need to scramble for plans or rush to find seats for the show, we have a great view. Choose to party with us all night with our 4 hour cruise departing from Kirkland or hop on a boat just in time with our 2.5 hour cruise departing Lake Union. Feriton Spur Park at Google Campus Expansion Celebration

On Wednesday, July 13, the City of Kirkland, Kirkland Downtown Association, Google, and SRM Development invite the general public to join a free celebration of Feriton Spur Park, Kirkland’s beloved park on the Cross Kirkland Corridor, in the heart of Google’s 6th Street campus.

Feriton Spur Park was expanded by more than double its previous size in 2021-2022 with the addition of several new features. The renovated park has a new 16-foot wide paved trail, a 44-foot pickleball court, an urban farm growing vegetables for Hopelink, bathrooms, a splash area and amphitheater.

The event will include live music, food trucks, pickleball, lawn games and refreshments. The evening will mark the official grand opening of Chainline Brewing’s café and tap room, Chainline Station, inside a historic Pacific Northwest Railway Caboose.

Kirkland Mayor Penny Sweet and Google Site Lead Paco Galanes will provide remarks. Several sculptures using pieces of the historic Kalakala ferry designed by Amber Mikluscak, Lead Landscape Architect with The Watershed Group, will be unveiled.

To get there, walk or bike along the CKC, take Metro’s 255 bus or complimentary parking is available on Google’s campus in building D, 451 7th Ave S, Kirkland, WA 98033.

From the streets of Paris in the rain to the Moulin Rouge for the Can Can and finishing at the Lido de Paris for a glamorous showgirl finale.

Parklane Gallery Presents 30th Annual International Miniature Show

Exhibit Dates: July 7 - July 31, 2022

Gallery is open Wednesday - Sunday 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

This show has over 350 tiny fine art treasures created by 80 artists from around the world. The fine detail in these miniature paintings is admired by gallery visitors of all ages. Artwork will also be available at parklanegallery.org during the show.

Summer Evening Concerts

The movies are located at Juanita Beach Park (north side) and Heritage Park. Juanita Beach (9703 NE Juanita Drive) dates and times are 3:00 pm & 6:00 pm on July 16, 23 & 30. Movies at Heritage Park (111 Waverly Way) will take place at 4:00 pm & 7:00 pm on August 5 & 12. This August, we are excited to bring our original musical adaptation of Hansel and Gretel to a park near you. We are pulling this delightful and funny story out of the vault after 8 years, and we can hardly wait to show you the revamped production.

Join us for a show where you'll meet Hansel and Gretel, brother and sister, who get caught up in a sticky situation with a shifty chef. Through original songs and a heartwarming 1-hour story, the siblings learn about the importance of working together.

Kirkland Uncorked is Washington’s summer wine festival. Taking place July 8 - 10, 2022 in scenic Marina Park, the festival, a weekend long celebration of world-class Washington wineries, is a benefit for the Homeward Pet Adoption.

The festival is split into two parts, a 21+ Tasting Garden and an all ages Street Fair. The Tasting Garden features wine tasting, live music, and a Saturday Food Truck Feast. The Street Fair features the Uncorked Market, and the CityDog Dog Modeling Contest.

Evenings on Park Lane

A local favorite, Evenings on Park Lane is back and will run through October 2, 2022. The west end of Park Lane between Lake Street and Main Street will be closed to vehicles nightly from 6 to 11 p.m and open to people walking and wheeling until the Park Lane restaurants close for the night.

What an enjoyable way to stroll downtown and shop local.

Junior Softball World Series

Join us for a weeklong softball World Championship between 10 Teams of 13/14 year old girls from around the world (6 from USA and 1 each from Europe, Latin America, Asia/Pacific and Canada) with some social events for the teams so the girls intermix and learn about the rest of the world.

Stewardship Events with Green Kirkland Partnership

Join Green Kirkland Partnership and help our parks and natural areas thrive. Volunteers will help restore critical habitat by removing invasive plants such as blackberry or ivy, planting native plants, and pitching-in with stewardship tasks like mulching and weeding. 

All experience levels and ages are welcome following the safety and event. Tools and training are provided. Events are 100% outdoors and occur rain or shine!

Kirkland Waterfront Car Show

Location: Kirkland Downtown Core

Our Classic Waterfront Car Show brings in around 10,000 visitors annually. The waterfront car show is one of the best in the region with over 300 cars on display and over 30 vendors. Spend the afternoon browsing, eating and talking to owners and restorers. Learn and connect with participants and get up close to wide display of classic, antique, muscle, and new high-performance vehicles.
