Explore ways to lay a solid foundation for self-sufficient meditation practice by introducing proper postures, breathing, and body-scanning techniques. Learn to effectively release stress and better manage physical/ emotional pain. Sight, sound, and taste will be incorporated in the meditation practice to ease the body and mind from anxiety, depression, and personal trauma, bringing our awareness to the present moment and enjoy living.

Kirkland Parks and Community Services is looking for Gym Supervisors and Youth Sports Referees!

Gym Supervisors (Facility Leads) will lead staff and supervise all activities in a gym facility. Gym Supervisors monitor the facility, assist customers and basketball officials, open and close the facility, and make written and verbal reports to the Recreation Coordinator and Supervisor.

Youth Basketball Referees will officiate the youth basketball games for boys and girls for grades 3rd through 6th. Youth Basketball referees also assist with set up and break down of equipment prior to and following games, provide first aid when necessary and maintain a clean, safe, and orderly facility. Officiating training will be provided in December and no prior experience is necessary!

Students are transported by Trackers Earth bus to various parks in the greater area for a variety of experiences and fun.

Homeschool: Outdoor Adventure Days
Does your homeschooled child love the outdoors?
Award-winning Trackers Earth offers a premier outdoor experience developing awareness, fortitude, and competency in the outdoors.
Staff guide participants to direct their own outdoor adventures and education on the topics of outdoor safety, first aid, mapping, navigation, orienteering, tracking animals, patterns, using deduction, awareness, and empathy. In addition, participants learn wilderness survival skills, economics, service, and caretaking of nature!

Trackers Earth Apprenticeship: Stealth, Archery & Wilderness Survival
Join the Rangers Guild! Train in wilderness survival, tracking and stealth for a full season. Bend in with the forest, learning the ways of the wild. Seek out your Rangers camp, a place where nature reveals the secrets of forest craft.

Join Kirkland Parks and Community Services for our first Annual January Jump! Polar Bear Plunge event.
Take an icy cold splash with friends and family! Enjoy vendor booths, a doughnut food truck, play pre-plunge games like cornhole, best plunge costume contest, and trivia on our new giant LED screen! Warm-up with hot cocoa and coffee!
Want to participate but stay warm? Take a virtual plunge, stay cozy, donate $10 toward the Recreation Scholarship Fund, and provide recreational opportunities for youth, adults, and seniors.
This event is open to spectators for free.
Registration is required to participate in the plunge.
Registration includes event t-shirt and giveaways while supplies last. $20 advance registration and $25 on event day.
Three sessions to choose from:
Session I 1:00-1:20 PM- ADULTS ONLY
Session II 1:20-1:40 PM- ALL AGES
Session III 1:40-2:00 PM- ALL AGES
T-shirt and giveaways while available while supplies last. Advanced registration is highly encouraged. Registration is also open on event day.
