This year come and explore your local parks through the Kirkland Steppers program. Each Tuesday the steppers group will meet at 10 AM to either walk to a local park or meet at a local park to explore. Register before June 1 to receive a FREE Steppers T-Shirt!

Watercolor Painting

Whether you are a beginner or advanced painter, you will enjoy learning techniques for a successful painting. Jean demonstrates every step and provides individual assistance to all. Working from photo references provided by instructor, you will paint still life, florals, landscapes/seascapes, animals and more. Supply list available at PKCC.

Oil Painting the Easy Way

Oil Painting the Easy Way

Paint along as Jean demonstrates the entire painting and provides individual assistance. Your own style will emerge as you paint many subjects from still life to landscapes to florals. You will quickly learn composition, color mixing, brush use, establishing depth and more. This class offers something for all levels. Supply list available at PKCC.

Sunrise Stretch

Start your day with yoga-inspired poses and feel good stretches to improve alignment and reduce stress. Adapted for your at-home virtual setting, you will need a mat and appropriate floor space to lie down for this 30 minute class.

Cardio and Core

Basic cardio, dance fitness, and strength activities are adapted for virtual settings to get the most out of your "at home" workouts by following modifications for all levels! Have weights, water, and a mat within reach. Plan for standing space for about 2 steps to the left, right, front or back, also an area to lie down for core conditioning in this hour long class.

Trackers Earth Camps - Ages 4-16

Rovers Outdoors Adventure

We're excited about our new partnership with Trackers Earth. They provide several camps with a natural world and survival focus. Trackers Earth programs have a goal of connecting students and families to the wonders of the natural world and to develop student backgrounds and skills so they can make the most of their time outdoors.

Date(s): Camps are offered through varied weeks between June 21 - August 20.

Time: 8:30 AM - 3:00 PM
Location: Campers travel by bus or van from Everest Park to various destinations on a daily basis.

Paddle Leadership Camp - Ages 11-16

Connect to nature as a Tracker, learning to see empathy as a wilderness survival skill.

Cultivate stewardship for community, nature, and many generations.

Connect with mentors and guides to master essential outdoor skills.

With your team, act as a role model and guide for younger campers.

Embark on action-packed adventures while learning outdoor skills with friends.

Overtime Athletics Basketball Camp is designed to
develop campers’ skills- dribbling, passing, shooting,
rebounding, and defense all while having fun, learning
the game with new and old friends. While at camp, campers will play a season worth of games, learn
fundamental skills, do daily station work, and
compete in contests and competitions.

Play It Foward-Community Input Needed

Imagine the future of Kirkland's parks, recreation, and open spaces.

The City of Kirkland is seeking public input in in order to update the Parks, Recreation and Open Space (PROS) Plan, which is a six-year guide and strategic plan. The PROS Plan will establish a path forward for providing high quality, community-driven parks, trails, open spaces and recreational opportunities to benefit community members and visitors to Kirkland.

The City will be hosting focus groups, interviews, community workshops and survey opportunities throughout 2021, including a virtual public forum on Thursday, June 17 from 6:30 to 8:00 PM.
